I’m an engineer, engineering leader, and business owner with nearly 30 years of experience turning complex technical problems into practical solutions.
My career has taken me from hands-on product development and systems engineering to leading engineering teams and major technical programs within Cummins Power Systems, a $4.6 billion business unit. My work has included power generation, product development, regulatory compliance, emissions engineering, systems integration, cost reduction, and customer-focused engineering.
I’ve also spent the past eight years on the other side of the equation—founding and running my own engineering business. As CEO and Chief Engineer of Hennepin Restomods, I was responsible for everything from engineering and fabrication to estimating, purchasing, finances, sales, hiring, customer relationships, and delivering projects. That experience reinforced something I’ve learned throughout my career: good engineering isn’t just about designing the right solution. It’s about understanding the customer, the business, the constraints, and what it actually takes to get something done.
I enjoy working where engineering meets the real world—where a problem isn’t neatly defined, resources aren’t unlimited, and someone needs to figure out what to do next. I’m comfortable moving between technical details and the bigger picture, whether that means solving a difficult engineering problem, evaluating a product concept, improving a process, supporting a customer, or helping a team make better decisions.
